List Of APC Chieftains At Tinubu's Meeting With Labour Leaders

The All Progressives Congress (APC) 2023 presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, is reportedly in a closed-door meeting with the national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

This is coming 100 days before the 2023 general elections, Naija News reports. Recall that the presidential hopeful had picked the former Governor of Borno State, Sen. Kashim Shettima, as his running mate for the nation’s number one political seat.

Political stakeholders and concerned Nigerians, including religious leaders, have since expressed concern about the Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket as Shettima is a core Muslim from the Northern party of the country.

However, days into the February 25 elections, Tinubu today commenced a meeting with CAN.

The essence of the meeting Naija News learnt is to ensure that the APC standard bearer clearly understands the concerns of Nigerian Christians with a view to proposing policies and programmes to address them.

On Tinubu’s entourage are the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Governors Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano); the Minister of Special Duties, Senator George Akume; Senate Chief Whip, Orji Kalu, amongst others, Vanguard reports.
