Photos: Massive Crowd Welcome Tinubu, Buhari, Others As APC Kicks Of Presidential Campaign In Plateau

Supporters and loyalists of the All Progressives Congress (APC) trooped out on Tuesday as the party officially flagged off its campaigns for the 2023 presidential election.

Naija News reports the campaign flag-off took place at the Rwang Pam township stadium in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

A heavy security presence was observed at the stadium as a combined team of security operatives took charge of the venue and the major routes leading into the venue.

The APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu arrived earlier at the venue in the company of his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, and other top dignitaries.

The president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari also attended the event personally as he led stalwarts of the APC including Governors, lawmakers, and others to Plateau.

The APC is hoping to retain power in 2023 after the expiration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure but would have to contend at the polls with other parties and their candidates for the nation’s number one political seat.
