Burna Boy Beats Ayra Starr, Black Sherif, Others To Emerge ‘Best African Act’ At MTV EMAS 2022 (See Full List)

Nigerian Grammy award-winning singer, Damini Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy has emerged as the Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards for the year 2022.

Naija News reports that Burna Boy who received the award for the second time edged out other nominees including Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Black Sherif (Ghana), Musa Keys (South Africa) and Zuchu (Tanzania).

Nigerian singer, Tems lost to the South Korean boy band, Seventeen who won the ‘best new artiste’ category.
