Keyamo Defends Claim That Appointment Of Ministers Of State Is Unconstitutional

The Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, has accused the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, of planning to breakup the country.

Naija News reports that Keyamo made the accusation while reacting to a comment made by Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and a chieftain of the opposition PDP on Monday.

Speaking during the inauguration of the PDP Governorship Campaign Council in Edo, Obaseki had said Nigeria would break up if the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, emerges as president in 2023.

The governor added that Nigerians’ heads should be examined if the APC returns to power in 2023 after their ‘poor performance’ in government for the last seven years.

In a tweet via his verified Twitter account on Tuesday, Keyamo refuted the claim by Obaseki that Tinubu wants to divide the country., stressing that the governor was wrong about his statement.

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment opined that it is Atiku that wants to separate Nigeria following his statement that the North does not need a Yoruba or Igbo as a a President in 2023.

Keyamo added that the former Vice President has also been promising both South-South and South East Presidency in 2027 or 2031 in a chameleonic way.

He wrote: “Your Excellency, I disagree. Your candidate that already asked Northerners not to vote for Yoruba or Igbo candidates and that has been promising both South-South and South East Presidency in 2027 or 2031 in a chameleonic way is the very person that wants to break up Nigeria. Chikena.”
