“We Are Happy That Ayu Did Not Go" - Wike Mocks Former PDP Chairman

An Imo state-based cleric, Apostle Godfrey Gbujie, has warned the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Iyorchia Ayu to resign from his position.

Gbujie stated that Ayu’s refusal to step down from his position could spell doom for the party in the upcoming election.

This is even as he expressed fears that there may be no handover next year and warned politicians not to jeopardize the current political process by their actions and utterances.

Speaking during a press briefing, Gbujie warned the party not to sit still and watch principal officers of the party from one section of the country dominate it and bring the party to ruins.

The clergyman argued that Rivers state Governor Nyesom Wike’s call for Ayu’s resignation was a moral war, adding that the continued stay of the national chairman amounts to impunity which started from the conduct of the party’s presidential primary election.

He said, “As God’s prophetic spokesman and minister in charge of the unfolding divine intervention, concerning Governor Nyesom Wike’s ongoing righteous politico-moral war against Iyorchia Ayu chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party and their questionable conduct of the May, 2022 presidential primary in Abuja, I can but ministerially, uncompromisingly, unreservedly and openly denounce Ayu’s biased, unfatherly and corrupt conduct of the decisive event and its fallout.”
