Packaged Calamity: Dino Melaye Knocks Tinubu Over 'Treatment' Of Crowd At APC Kano Rally

The Spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council, Dino Melaye has alleged the reason the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer, Bola Tinubu, was absent at the peace pact signing today.

Naija News earlier reported that Tinubu was conspicuously missing on Thursday as other presidential candidates signed the now-customary peace pact.

However, the APC vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, represented Tinubu at the occasion.

PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) amongst others were present at the signing.

Reacting to Tinubu’s absence, Dino Melaye in a video shared on his Twitter page, made a mockery of the former Governor of Lagos State.

Melaye said Tinubu was the only presidential candidate who was absent at the peace accord signing and he is aware of his reason.

According to him, there was no provision for thumb printing as all the candidates were allowed to sign.

Officials Insist Adamu’s Letter To Tinubu Is APC-NWC’s Position

Meanwhile, an official of APC has insisted that the party’s National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has written a letter to the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to the official of the ruling party, Adamu’s letter was the true position of the National Working Committee (NWC) despite their denial.

It will be recalled that a leaked letter which went viral had emerged online on Thursday suggesting all is not well within the ruling party.

In the leaked letter, the APC National Chairman accused Tinubu of breaching the agreement he had with the NWC with regard to the composition of the presidential campaign council.

Adamu said the presidential candidate is operating solo whereas winning elections is supposed to be a collaborative effort.

The NWC had made some recommendations to Bola Tinubu before the announcement of the Campaign Council, but the presidential candidate had refused to follow those recommendations according to the purported letter.

However, the APC, in a swift reaction, denied any letter originated from the chairman to the presidential candidate on such an issue.
