I Have Missed Adamu In The Senate – Tinubu’s Wife Says As She Visits APC National Chairman

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has said that the absence of the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu is greatly felt in the Senate.

Naija News recalls that Adamu had sent in his letter of resignation after he emerged as the National Chairman of the ruling party at the March 26 Convention.

The resignation which came into effect on April 1 was read by the Senate President, Dr Ahmad Lawan, during a plenary.

However, four months after vacating his position, Remi has said that his participation in legislative activities has been missed.

The former first lady, who led a delegation of women to pay Adamu and the National Working Committee of the APC a visit ahead of the September 28 date for the official commencement of political campaigns, stated that she hoped her husband would consolidate on the gains of the President, Muhammadu Buhari if elected.

She said: We are here today to the business of the day and to felicitate with the chairman because I’ve missed him so much in the Senate. So it’s a thing of joy that we are here on the solidarity visit and courtesy visit to also intimate you on our activities.

“Despite knowing that the timetable is not yet out, it’s best for me to come here and also tell you that we’ve been busy quietly, but we want to intimate you on the activities. We are yet to get our organogram fine-tuned. What the incoming administration needs to do is to consolidate all the works that our President is doing and I can tell you that I’m not new in government.”

Speaking further, Oluremi gave the assurance that she and the other women whom she called “The Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Women Council”, were ready to put in their best in bringing the next government into power.

She went ahead to commend the leadership of the NWC and the work they have done so far.
