Hours After Receiving Mariam Anako, Ooni Of Ife Reportedly Plans To Wed Another Woman From Lagos

Plans are reportedly underway to get another wife for the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.

The report is coming barely 24 hours after the renowned Yoruba monarch received a new bride into the palace.

Naija News reports that Ooni of Ife on Tuesday evening received Mariam Anako into the Ile-Ife Palace as his new bride. Her arrival at the palace came after the completion of all necessary wedding rites permitted by the tradition.

Leadership reported on Wednesday evening that hours after Anako’s arrival at the Ife Palace, a team of Chiefs from the royal home in Osun State, visited the family of one Dr Elizabeth Opeoluwa Akinmuda from the Magodo area of Lagos in a bid to get her to join other queens at the palace.

A source at the palace who reportedly made the disclosure to the news platform said Akinmuda is a Scotland-based Electronic Data Processor and a native of Ondo City in Ondo State.

After Two Failed Marriages, Chris Okotie Declares Stand On Taking Third Wife

The General Overseer of the Household of God Church in Lagos, Pastor Chris Okotie on Tuesday spoke about taking a third wife after two failed marriages.

Naija News reports that Okotie during an interview with BBC pidgin said he is not interested in getting married for the third time.

When asked if there was any chance of taking another wife, the cleric said Jesus had already told him that his journey of marriage has ended.

The flamboyant preacher and former presidential candidate noted that he never understood the will of God for his life when he got born again, adding that he has done all that he wanted for himself.

He said: “I’m not getting married again, I’m not getting married again because Jesus has already told me that one has ended. When I was saved, when I became born again, I was in the university at the time I did not understand the will of God for my life. I always said I wanted my own family and all that and I went and did what I wanted”
