Before the record was broken, she was tied with Wizkid with both of them having 4 entries in the Billboard Hot 100. Having broken the tie, she becomes the very first Nigerian artiste to have the most entries in the charts.

Lately, Tems has been in the spotlight – from having her 4th entry in the Billboard Hot 100 to being on one-time US president Barack Obama’s summer playlist to being on the soundtrack of new Marvel Blockbuster ‘Black Panther Wakanda Forever’ where she performed a cover of late Veteran reggae musician Bob Marley’s ‘No woman no cry.’ She turned heads, and ears with her emergence and entrance into the Nigerian music industry in 2019 with her debut single, ‘Try Me,’ and since then it’s been stage upon stage and broken records upon broken records.

Tems is one of the artistes who is excelling in the world of Afrobeats, serenading fans with her very distinct and unique voice. Breaking these records, reaching these heights, are all big wins to her as an artiste and, to the whole world of Afrobeats and to Nigeria as a country.
