Atiku Reacts As Bwala Dumps APC, Joins PDP

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the decision of a prominent lawyer, Daniel Bwala to join the party.

Taking to his Twitter account on Saturday, Atiku welcomed Bwala to the PDP and commended his courage and conviction.

Naija News recalls Bwala on Friday, officially joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after dumping the All Progressives Congress (APC) weeks ago.

The lawyer had announced he dumped the ruling party on principles and convictions that he holds so dear shortly after the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu picked Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2023 presidency thus confirming a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

Why I Joined PDP

On Friday, 29th July, Bwala citing three reasons for his action, announced that he as joined the PDP.

He wrote: “Today I officially joined @OfficialPDPNig for the following reasons;
1. PDP presents a clear vision for one Nigeria.
2. PDP is the party with the realistic chance of defeating APC.
3. Atiku is the only candidate with superior experience to lead Nigeria out of the woods.”

Reacting on Saturday, Atiku welcomed Bwala to the PDP while sharing a picture of them together.

He wrote: “Welcome to the @OfficialPDPNig, the party that truly embodies the associations of the Nigeria of our dreams. Your courage, conviction and kind words are well appreciated.”
