The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has urged police officers not to see them as a threat instead but a partner in progress.
The Jigawa State NSCDC Commandant, Musa Alhaji Mala, stated this during a visit to Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Sale Tafida, SHQ office in Dutse.
He explained that the reason for his visit was to make the relationship between the two security agencies stronger.
Mala, however, expressed his worry over the unfortunate conflicts that usually occur between police and NSCDC personnel.
“Under my watch, the unfortunate conflicts that usually occur between police and civil defence personnel will not be endured.
“Most of the cases are engineered by junior ranks,” he said.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Sale Tafida, however, appreciated the Commandant for the visit and promised to work assiduously to ensure peace and security of the state.
