Nigerians React As Wike Meets Former Zamfara Governor, Yari

Reactions have trailed the meeting between Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and the former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari.

Naija News had earlier reported that Yari met with Wike at his residence located in Rumuepriokom community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the State.

Yari and Wike thereafter went into a closed-door meeting. The former Zamfara governor was accompanied to the meeting by some of his aides.

Wike has met with numerous members of opposition parties who have reportedly tried to woo the PDP governor to their side.

Naija News reports that Governor Wike has been silent on the activities of the PDP following the decision of the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar,  to pick Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as his running mate.

Party leaders had taken steps to resolve the crisis in the PDP, but Wike has been resistant.
