The PUNCH: Loyalists of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, have said the party’s vice-presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, will not be dropped in spite of criticism over his appointment. Various groups campaigning for the APC’s presidential candidate, in separate interviews with The PUNCH, faulted those, who berated the APC and its standard-bearer over the Muslim-Muslim ticket.


The Guardian: Hiccups in the vehicle valuation system of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) may hamper the importation of used cars just as thousands of dealers and agents are on the verge of losing their livelihoods, investigations by The Guardian have revealed.


The Nation: Three governors yesterday gave a robust defence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential team, saying the Muslim-Muslim ticket is not anti-Christian. The ruling party’s national chairman Abdullahi Adamu also said Christians have no cause for worry.


This Day: The government of Abdullahi Ganduje in Kano State, yesterday, replied a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, that the Ganduje Foundation, a philanthropic organisation, was being used to force Christians to join Islam, saying there was no compulsion in faith.


Daily Trust: Former Borno State governor, Senator Kashim Shettima, headlined a list of 11 persons recommended for consideration for the choice of running mate to the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, by the Planning and Strategy Committee of the Tinubu Campaign Organisation (TCO) headed by Mr Babachir David Lawal, Daily Trust reports.
