EPL: Ten Hag Names Manchester United’s Captain For Next Season

Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag, on Monday revealed the club’s captain for next season.

Ten Hag who recently took over at the club stated that England defender, Harry Maguire will continue as the club captain next season.

The Red Devils had handed Maguire the armband shortly after joining the club from Leicester City in 2019.

Ten Hag, while speaking at his first press conference of Tour 2022 ahead of their friendly match against Liverpool at Bangkok’s Rajamangala Stadium said, Maguire remains the captain.

The Manchester United manager when asked which player will captain the club next season, Ten Hag said, “Harry Maguire is the captain.”

The Dutchman when asked why Maguire is holding on to the band said, “Of course, I have to get to know all the players and it takes time.

“But he has been an established captain for a few years and he has achieved a lot of success, so I don’t doubt about this issue.”
