I Don't Have Any Relationship With Intels Anymore - Atiku

Paul Ibe, the spokesman for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has confirmed that his principal is set to cut short his foreign trip to return to the country.

Ibe stated that Atiku had concluded plans to return to Nigeria and lead the mobilisation of the people of Osun state to vote for the PDP governorship candidate in the Osun election, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

He asserted that Atiku would be in Osogbo, the Osun State capital to lead the grand rally of the opposition party ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.

The spokesman added that Atiku will also ensure the resolution of all the issues that arose following the conclusion of the nomination processes are addressed.

Ibe told Daily Trust that, “Atiku will lead from the front once he arrives to reinvigorate and ensure the resolution of all the issues that arose following the conclusion of the nomination processes and it will all be addressed.

Naija News reports that Atiku has been out of the country for about three weeks now amidst the crisis rocking the PDP over the emergence of Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate even as a section of the PDP leaders have openly expressed their displeasure over the choice of Okowa and how Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike was treated in the saga.

Atiku had moved from Dubai to the UK for his Master’s Degree Convocation at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK, set to take place from Monday, 11 July until Friday, 29 July.

Atiku was criticised for his absence at the Ekiti governorship campaign rally which some members linked to the loss of the party’s governorship candidate, Bisi Kolawole.
