Sowore Mocks Peter Obi Over Defection From PDP

Presidential hopeful and political activist, Omoyele Sowore, has mocked the former Governor of Anambra, Peter Obi, over his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Naija News reports that the former PDP Presidential aspirant had on Wednesday caused a stir in the political environment when he announced his defection ahead of the PDP’s presidential primary election.

The former Anambra State Governor tendered his resignation letter at the PDP National Secretariat through his Campaign Director, Doyin Okupe.

It was learned that Obi’s exit came as the politician expressed fears he might be humiliated at the convention in Abuja.

Reacting to the development in a post via his Facebook page on Wednesday, Sowore slammed Obi for dumping a political party for the second time in his political career.

The media entrepreneur said Obi dumped the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the PDP and is likely to join Labour Party in the coming days.

“Peter Obi has dumped rogue PDP. He’s reportedly heading to join rogue Labour leaders at the Labour Party. From APGA to PDP and now possibly to LP! How many parties could a man join in his lifetime?” he queried.

In a related development, former Kaduna Central lawmaker and 2023 governorship aspirant in Kaduna State, Shehu Sani has likened Obi to a gambler who read the weather thus defecting from the PDP.
