The Governor of Ebonyi State and presidential aspirant, Dave Umahi, has purchased the N100m expression of interest and nomination forms to contest the 2023 presidential election.

Naija News reports that the governor picked his presidential forms at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja on Thursday.

In a statement released by his media aide, Nwaze Francis, the governor said he has backed up his presidential ambition by obtaining the APC presidential forms.

Governor Umahi called on Nigerians to lend a hand of support to his presidential aspiration, promising not to disappoint them if elected as the next president in 2023.

He promised to replicate the successes recorded in Ebonyi state at the federal with the meagre resources available to the state government.

The governor said the prudent management of the state’s resources has enabled him to transform Ebonyi into one of the most developing states in the country.

The statement reads, “The Governor of Ebonyi State, and All Progressives Congress Presidential Aspirant Engr David Umahi, has purchased his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to contest for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.

“Nigerians, the time is now. Let all hands be on deck to ensure that Governor David Umahi gets the APC ticket.

“He is the man that the cap fits and he has ticked all positive boxes right. The time is now.”

The governor also confirmed the purchase of the presidential forms on his social media pages and displayed the receipt of the N100milion for the forms.

He wrote, “Nigerians, I will not disappoint you.

“With the meagre resources at our disposal in Ebonyi State, we were able to transform the state from the dust of the Nation to the Dubai of Nigeria.

“We can do even better in Nigeria and with your support, we shall achieve it. Nomination forms.”
