IPOB Sit-at-home: Nigerians Sign Petition For Simon Ekpa’s Arrest

A Biafra Republic agitator, Simon Ekpa, has declared a sit-at-home in the South East to demand the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Monday, Ekpa said the sit-at-home exercise will take place in the region for three days to protest the continued detention of the IPOB leader.

The Biafra agitator disclosed that the dates for the lockdown of the South East are the 16th, 17th and 18th of May 2022. Ekpa added that the sit-at-home will be a historic lockdown of the region.

He wrote: “Get ready for a historic lockdown of Biafraland in the month of May.

“It will go down in the history of Biafra liberation that we lockdown our territory for 3days demanding the release of MNK. Save the following dates: 16th, 17th & 18th of May 2022 will be the sit at home for MNK”.

Recall that IPOB had consistently said it had suspended the Monday weekly sit-at-home order in the South East due to the economic woes the exercise inflicted on the people.

The group said some miscreants living in Europe and sponsored by overzealous politicians are working with the security agencies to ensure that they succeed in torturing innocent Igbos in the name of enforcing a non-existent sit-at-home.
