Why Request To Declare State Of Emergency In South East Won't Achieve Anything - Omokri

Former presidential media aide, Reno Omokri has condemned the All Progressives Congress (APC) for pegging its presidential form at N100 million.

Naija News earlier reported that the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka, revealed that the APC had pegged its presidential nomination and expression of interest forms at ₦100 million.

Morka made this known while addressing reporters after the 11th National Executive meeting of the party held at the Transcorp Hotel in Abuja on Wednesday.

The APC spokesman stated that the nomination form would go for ₦70 million while expression of interest forms would go for ₦30 million.

Reacting through a tweet via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, Omokri wondered why the ruling party fixed its presidential nomination forms at ₦100 million.

He said that such an amount would encourage corruption, adding that only corrupt politicians will be able to afford such an exorbitant amount.

The controversial author also claimed that no honest presidential aspirant can pay ₦100 million for the nomination form.

He wrote: “How can APC set Presidential nomination forms at ₦100 million? Is that not encouraging corruption? Who, but the corrupt, can afford that? How many honest men can pay ₦100 million for a form? Is that why they pardoned Dariye and Nyame, so they can sponsor forms?”
