Police Reveal Why Toyosi Alleged She Was Raped

The outcome of an investigation into Toyosi’s alleged rape and kidnapping has been revealed.

Naija News reported earlier that the lady had caused tension on social media earlier after she alleged she was kidnapped and raped.

Toyosi had revealed the address of her violators. Her tweet was taken seriously and police operatives had acted swiftly by visiting the address she posted on the micro-blogging platform.

After causing a barrage of reactions and outrage, Toyosi confessed she was never kidnapped and raped.

Hence, asked that people should stop calling the number of her alleged violators which she had dropped earlier.

A report had emerged that she was subsequently arrested for raising the false alarm.

However, in a telephone interview with Naija News on Thursday, Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said Toyosi wasn’t arrested but went to the station herself.

He said interrogation is still ongoing on the case and the next line of action will be taken after.

In a follow up to Toyosi’s case, Naija News is informed that the lady had raised the false alarm after she was restrained from leaving the apartment of two young men who she constantly visits.

After an extensive investigation into the matter, the identity of the two men were revealed and the police will hence arraign the trio for wrongful restrain and giving out false information to cause public unrest.

After a careful and extensive investigation, it is revealed that 20-year-old Toyosi Adesegun, female, is a regular visitor to Olamilekan Faruk, Ayanfe Ayinde and Olusola Onipede, all male of 78 Obayan Street Akoka.

“This (yesterday) morning, she was restrained from leaving the apartment by the young men.

“Toyosi threatened to tweet what she tweeted if she was not allowed to leave. The young men called her bluff and she tweeted.

“Based on the foregoing, the three men will be arraigned for wrongful restraint, while Toyosi will be arraigned for giving false information,” the Lagos State PPRO said concerning the latest development about Toyosi.
