Police Arrest Toyosi, Lady Who Raised False Rape/Kidnapping Alarm On Twitter

A young lady simply identified as Toyosi has been arrested for raising false alarm on Twitter.

Media personality, Deji Adesogan confirmed her arrest in a post on the micro-blogging, Naija News understands.

The lady had caused tension and stirred a barrage of reactions on the bird app after she alleged in a post that she was raped and kidnapped.

Toyosi shared the phone number of the alleged culprit and many netizens had reached out to find out about her safety.

Toyosi who uses the Twitter handle – @_misteriouss, also said her alleged violator carried out the act at the Akoka area of Lagos.

Swinging into action, some operatives of the Lagos Police arrived at the address Toyosi shared and arrested the occupants of the building.

Shortly after, Toyosi took to her Twitter to announce that she was okay and that it was a false alarm.

Reacting to the development, her brother also accused her of seeking attention with the false alarm as her Twitter followers had increased to 3000 from 1000.

Toyosi’s action has since received a barrage of reactions as netizens condemned her and asked for her arrest.

The Lagos State Police Command swung into action and arrested her.

Sharing the development, Adesogan Tweeted “FINALLY: Lagos State Police Command has reportedly arrested Miss @_misteriouss & set for her arraignment before a Lagos court, for raising the false alarm (of rape & kidnapping) & disturbance of public peace.”
