APC National Convention Begins As Buhari Arrives Eagles Square

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived at Eagle Square where the All Progressives Congress is currently holding its national convention.

Naija News gathered that President Buhari who is also the national leader of the party arrived at the venue around 8.25 pm.

According to the programme for the convention released on Friday, Buhari was expected to arrive at the convention by 3:15 pm.

The arrival of the President on Saturday was followed by the recitation of the national anthem.

Delegates are currently at the venue of the convention to vote for national leaders of the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Stakeholders had earlier met with the president to conclude on consensus candidates during the convention to save the party from the crisis.

Governors elected on the platform of the party had agreed to support the anointed national chairmanship candidate of the party, Abdullahi Adamu.

The development saw other candidates contesting for the position shed their desire in respect for President Buhari.
