Gov Sule Reveals Biggest Concern About State Police In Nigeria

Nasarawa Governor Abdullahi Sule has confirmed that the unity list for the All Progressive Congress (APC) National Convention will be released today.

Naija News understands that preparations are ongoing as the ruling party set to hold it’s convention tomorrow ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Governor Sule who serves as the Chairman National Convention Media and Publicity Sub-Committee of the APC, confirmed on Friday (today) that some geopolitical zones have already agreed on the unity list which Will be made available later in the day.

Addressing a pre-convention conference on Friday in Abuja, Sule also confirmed that the Consensus arrangement remains the first option to elect the new leaders of the party.

Meanwhile, a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuf, on Friday announced his decision to dump the All Progressives Congress.

Yusuf contested in the governorship primary of the ruling party in 2018 but lost to the current Governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola.

The former deputy Speaker in his aspiration to govern Osun State contested in the 2022 primary election but emerged third behind Moshood Adeoti, the anointed candidate of the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.

The governorship primary of the ruling party was won by the sitting governor of the state, Oyetola with wide margins between him and other contenders.

Yusuf on Friday submitted his resignation letter at the APC Secretariat, Ogo Oluwo Osogbo, Naija News reports.
