Osun Election: Adeleke Reacts To Supreme Court Judgement

Ademola Adeleke, the uncle of award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido, would desire to clinch the governorship ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State today (Tuesday).

This is coming after the cousin to the DMW boss, Dele Adeleke who had earlier shown interest to run for governorship withdrew from the race.

Dele on Monday while giving the reason for quitting said his decision is in line with the stand of PDP leaders who have decided to harmonize forces.

There had been a clash between him and Davido who was not pleased with his cousin’s governorship ambition.

Dele in 2018 was the main agent of his uncle when he contested against Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress.

Adeleke would battle with Prince Dotun Babayemi, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, and Mr Omirin Emmanuel Olusanya to clinch the PDP ticket.

Meanwhile, security agencies including the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps on Tuesday stated that it will ensure that that governorship exercise will be peaceful.

The Security agencies called on politicians to conduct themselves during and after the exercise, in line with the Electoral Act, 2022.
