The PUNCH reports that the simmering leadership crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress for several months took a different dimension on Monday in Abuja as most of the governors were said to have abandoned the Chairman of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni, who had been steering the affairs of the APC since June 2020.

In a move meant to establish and consolidate his leadership, the Niger State Governor and acting National Chairman of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Party (APC), Abubakar Sani Bello, yesterday, announced the notice of meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party, where an official seal of the approving organ of the party would be secured, according to This Day.


There is confusion in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over the fate of its caretaker chairman, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, The Nation reports.


The fate of the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State is hanging in the balance following the take-over of the party’s affairs by his Niger State counterpart, Abubakar Sani Bello, yesterday, Daily Trust reports.


According to Daily Independent, a pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Egbe Omo Yoruba in North America (EOYNA), has welcomed the release of Yoru­ba nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Ighoho, from detention in the Republic of Benin.
