Shehu Sani Reacts As Buhari Finally Departs Abuja For London Medical Trip

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has reacted to the departure of President Muhammadu Buhari from Abuja for London, UK on a medical trip.

Naija News reports that after initially rescheduling his planned medical trip, President Buhari on Sunday, departed Abuja for London on a medical trip.

Buhari’s personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad confirmed the President’s movement in a Twitter post on Sunday afternoon.

Reacting to the President’s trip, Senator Sani urged people like Reno Omokri to leave Buhari alone and focus on the crisis in Ukraine.

This is as Omokri normally organizes protests to ‘harass’ Buhari whenever he embarks on such foreign medical trips.

Taking to his Twitter account, Sani however told Omokri and others like him to leave the President alone this time around.

He wrote: “Baba has gone to London, people like @renoomokri and other protesters should concentrate on Ukraine pls.”

Meanwhile, Nasarawa State Senator Abdullahi Adamu has received a donation of ten million naira as support to fuel his All Progressive Congress national chairmanship bid.

President Muhammadu Buhari is said to have endorsed the former state governor for the position, Naija News understands.

In a statement on Sunday, the chairman, Council of All Progressives Congress (APC) Stakeholders in Nasarawa State, Dr. Kassim Muhammed Kassim, said they have raised N10 million from stakeholders in the North-Central to buy nomination and expression of interest form for Adamu.

Kassim while addressing journalists in Lafia, said the rationale behind the contribution was to show solidarity to Adamu and a way of saying ‘thank you’ for establishing high institutions in the state during his time as governor, which enabled them to acquire higher education.
