Buhari Arrives Abuja After Eight-day Trip To Saudi Arabia

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday raised some eyebrows after he returned to Nigeria after attending the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) event in Kenya.

The President’s return was made known in a short Twitter statement on Friday afternoon by the President’s personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad.

This is contrary to the earlier statement released on President Buhari’s itinerary as Nigerians had earlier been told the country’s leader will fly out to the United Kingdom for a medical check-up after the Kenya event.

However, an update by Ahmad on Twitter says: “President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja, after his participation in the 50th Anniversary of the UN Environmental Programme (UNEP) in Nairobi, Kenya.”

But in a fresh update, the Presidency on Friday revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari will still embark on his planned medical trip to London.

Buhari’s Media and Publicity Assistant, Garba Shehu said the president will jet out to London on Sunday for his medical vacation.

He said Buhari had to return to Abuja after an early completion of his task in Nairobi, Kenya.

Following the strings of development, Nigerians have taken to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to air their views. Below are some reactions culled by Naija News.
