This is coming weeks after troops of the Nigerian Army reportedly killed a commander of the Islamic State of West Africa ISWAP in Borno State.

The teenage terrorist killed, Mohammed Yusuf is said to be the son of Goni Maina who was named after the founder of Boko Haram.

Naija News understands that Yusuf was handed the position of a commander following the killing of his father Maina.

Maina was the former commander, governor of the Lake Chad faction of the ISWAP. He was killed on December 1 2020 in an air raid jointly conducted by the Nigerian Army and the Air Force.
