Reactions As Throwback Photo Of Aminu Tambuwal At Oputa Panel In 1999 Surfaces

An old photograph of the former speaker of the house of representatives and present governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal has emerged online.

The picture was taken at the Justice Chukwudifu Oputa panel in 1999 when Tambuwal was a young lawyer.

Below are some of Nigerian’s reactions to the old picture.

RichDad1: “Nothing really came out of this panel. It’s just a waste of time and resources.”

MufasaLion: “Tambuwal, one of the few I admire in Nigerian political space.”

Madjune: “Oputa drama panel. Till date, nothing came out of it. Wasted money. Obj would act as if it wasn’t his idea.”

Koolib: “The fact is, many of these politicians paid their dues.”

Richiemcgold: “One fact I’ve come to realize is that Nigerian political space since 1999 is dominated by lawyers. After military men, lawyers have been the biggest beneficiaries of political leadership in Nigeria’s history – – a profession of trained liars and deceptive men who always hide under the guise of advocates. Could that be the reason we are not yet getting it right politically?

Let’s not forget that our first generation of political leaders during the pre-independence and post-independence era were mostly teachers and they did so well.”
