Just In: DSS Bars Nnamdi Kanu's Lawyers From Entering The Court Room

Some lawyers of the arrested leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu were on Wednesday prevented from gaining access to the courtroom.

This is as the Department of State Services (DSS) insisted at the resumed hearing of the Biafra agitator that only two lawyers can be allowed into the courtroom.

According to the secret police, their action is based on the directive of the trial judge, Justice Binta Nyanko who ordered that only two lawyers be granted access to the venue as Nnamdi Kanu’s trial continues.

Our correspondent gathered that Barrister Aloy Ejimakor and other lawyers who had arrived earlier before the arrival of Kanu in court were stopped at the court gate.

Only Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor and Mike Ozekhome (SAN) were cleared to enter the courtroom.

Naija News reports Kanu is facing charges brought against him by the Federal Government of Nigeria before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

The Biafra leader had previously pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him.
