Gov. Zulum Withdraws Name From List Of Commissioner-nominees Submitted To Borno State House Of Assembly

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum inaugurated the new housing complex for refugees in Konduga Local Government Area on Wednesday.

According to the state government, 803 houses have been rebuilt after seven years of displacement due to attacks by Boko Haram militants.

A statement issued by Isa Gusau, spokesman for the Borno state government, said Governor Zulum had directed the allocation of ₦100, 000 to 500 members of the community whose houses were not part of the 803 houses already rebuilt.

The governor also ordered the distribution of N200,000 each to 240 male refugees. Then each of the 379 women will receive N10,000 and wrappers.

The statement added that the governor commended the North-East Development Commission (NEDC) for providing food aid to the refugees.
