45-Year-Old Man Seeks N15 Million Financial Help For Kidney Transplant

A forty five-year-old man, Yisau Nurudeen Babatunde, who has been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease is looking for N15 million for a kidney transplant.

The Ogun State-born public servant was battling hypertension, stomach pain with swollen legs, effects which grew worse and affected the two kidneys, leading to total damage.

According to a medical report signed by Dr Oyekunle Oyebisi, Consultant Nephrologists/Physician, Bestcare Medical and Kidney Centre Hospital, “The above named first presented to this facility with complaints of leg swelling, vomiting and hypertension. After thorough clinical and biochemical investigations, he was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease secondary to hypertension. He has since been on maintenance hemodialysis and other care. He would eventually require a renal transplant for a better quality of life.”

His wife, Bukola Aminat Yisau, told Naija News that he has been battling high blood pressure for over a year now.

“He had got to the final stage. He has been on dialysis and drugs since April 2021 to regulate him but nothing has changed. We are seeking help now because we do not have money again to carry out the transplant,” she added.

She also revealed that Nurudeen has been taken for dialysis at Bestcare Medical and Kidney Centre Hospital, Florence Obanubi Avenue Sagamu, Ogun State, a private dialysis center.
