The candlelight procession for the late 12-year-old student of Dowen College student, Sylvester Oromoni, has stirred reaction online.

Naija News had earlier reported that concerned parents on Wednesday gathered to have a candlelight service for Sylvester who was bullied by other students in the school.

However, some Nigerians in their reaction to the candlelight procession claimed that the parents are more concerned about the school reopening rather than sympathize with the family of Sylvester.

A Nigerian in his comment had condemned the parents for printing the name of the school on their clothes when they are expected to display the picture of Sylvester who is the reason for their gathering.

Some others attacked the parents for referring to themselves as Dowen parents when there is a tense atmosphere around the school and its management.

A Nigerian identified as Nikky questioned why these parents would still want their kids to attend a school where Sylvester Oromoni was bullied.
