Lagos PDP Chairman Not Suspended - Party Gives Update On Crisis

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) In Kebbi has dismissed some key members of the party due to alleged misconduct which has consequently led to chaos within the party.

The dismissed members include a national women leader, Hajiya Maria Umaru Waziri, former minister, Kabiru Taminu, state chairman, Haruna D. Sa’idu , the 2015 governorship candidate of the party, General Sarkin Yaki Bello, and others.

The Kebbi central vice-chairman, Garba Abubakar Basse made this announcement in a TV interview with Daily Trust.

He said that they were expelled from the party because they relocated the state Secretariat to Abuja and also seized the nomination forms for the proposed congress of the party.

In other news, President Muhammadu Buhari will on Tuesday commission a housing project in Rivers State, courtesy of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Naija News understands that some units of the estate which is named after President Buhari has been donated to the Special Protection Unit of the Police.

The development according to the NDDC is part of its corporate social responsibility and as well to boosts the waning morale of the Nigeria Police Force.

The Bade 6 Barracks, Naija News understands is situated at Omagwa in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The housing comprises 68 standard blocks of flats. This is in addition to features such as the gatehouse, Admin Building and Commandant Quarters, among others.
