Gunmen Kill Nine In Benue Community

A community in Osun State has attacked by some yet to be known gunmen.

Reports reaching Naija News at this time revealed that the daughter of Alhaji Bayo Fulani of Ga- Fulani, Ora-Igbomina area of Ifedayo was kidnapped during the Sunday night attack.

The criminal group were said to have stormed the community on Sunday night targeting the resident killing Alhaji Bayo but bullets allegedly could not penetrate his body. Findings revealed that the assailants armed with guns, having discovered that the father had escaped their assault, resorted to dealing with the girl before they eventually took her away.

When contacted by newsmen, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Opalola Yemisi confirmed the attack. She, however, said she was not sure that the victim is a Fulani man. She said the command has deployed personnel to the area to ensure that normalcy returns.

“Our operatives and local security have commenced operation to comb the forest and to make sure that the victim is rescued unhurt,” she added

Meanwhile, one Mr Lukman Ibrahim has been kidnapped in Kwara State by some unknown gunmen.
It was gathered that the assailants stormed a part of Offa in the Offa Local Government Area of the state during the weekend and killed a pregnant woman identified Hawawu.

Sources said Lukman, a young entrepreneur who dealt in telephone accessories at the Owode Market, Offa, and his wife were attacked by the gunmen at about 10 pm this past Saturday.
