Ex-Chelsea Manager, Frank Lampard Gets New Job

Former Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard will work with the BBC as a pundit at this summer’s European Championships.

Lampard will join notable names like Darren Fletcher and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, alongside regulars Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer, and Rio Ferdinand.

He is expected to be in the studio for England’s opening game against Croatia on Sunday.

Lampard will also be offering his opinion when France play Portugal on June 23.

The 42-year-old worked with BT Sport as a pundit, before taking his first job in management with Derby County.

But he has been out of work since he was fired by Chelsea in January.

Lampard was only in charge for 18 months before he was replaced by Thomas Tuchel with the Blues sitting outside the top four.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, is reportedly looking forward to bring to Santiago Bernabeu English Premier League player who plays as a forward for Chelsea FC, Timo Werner.

Recall that Ancelloti joined the La Liga side barely two weeks ago as a replacement for Zinedine Zidane who resigned from the club a few days before.

Ancelloti, however, believed Werner could fit in the list of forwards that could replace Karim Benzema for a long term deal. Naija News understands that the German international is enduring a difficult first season with Chelsea after he was signed in June 2020.

Prior to Werner’s move to Stamford Bridge, the 25-year-old had spent four seasons with Leipzig, during which he scored 95 goals in 159 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga club. Werner’s pace and movement made him one of the most exciting prospects ahead of the 2020-21 season.

He, however, won the 2020/21 Champions League with Thomas Tuchel’s side.
