Uzodinma Reshuffles Cabinet, Appoints 17 Commissioners

The Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused Governor Hope Uzodinma of allegedly masterminding the series of extrajudicial killings in the state.

Naija News reports that the southeast state has been rocked with series of killings by unknown gunmen.

Speaking to newsmen on Thursday, the Imo state PDP Chairman, Charles Ugwu asked Uzodinma to account for the killing of innocent civilians in the state.

He stated that the governor was allegedly masterminding the killings that is why he has failed to address the security issues in the state.

According to the PDP leader, unknown gunmen have taken the lives of prominent sons and daughters of Imo within a space of one month and Uzodinma has done nothing about it.

The governor has to tell us what he knows about the gruesome murder of the Oru-east PDP Youth Leader as well as that of his friend, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak,” Ugwu said.

“There is no gainsaying that the Uzodinma-led government lacks the competence and willpower to protect the lives of the people.

“We, therefore, urge the federal government to set up a panel to investigate the governor to find out the root cause of the extrajudicial killings in Imo State.

“Meanwhile, we appeal to all Imolites to remain calm and prayerful in this trying period.”

Recall that former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode had also questioned the role of Uzodinma in the assassination of former presidential aide, Ahmed Gulak.

Fani-Kayode had raised questions that did not go down well with the governor, prompting a backlash from Uzodinma.
