A 20-year-old suspected rapist arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Osogbo, Osun State capital has claimed his sexual urged is spiritual.

The young man who was arrested for violating a minor (name withheld) in the community, confessed before Magistrate Olusegun Ayilara of the Osogbo Magistrates Court, that he always have this urge to forcefully violate any girl on sight.

Naija News understands that the suspect, Quadri Azeez, 20, was dragged before the court on two counts bordering on rape and assault of a young girl.

The charge sheet presented before the court by the prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Olusegun, accused Azeez of sexually assaulting a young girl on March 6, 2021, at Ara area in Ede.

The prosecutor said the suspect had committed an offence punishable under sections 358 and 360 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.

Admitting to the two-count against him, Azeez said: “I always feel like raping girls that come my way, I always feel uneasy when I sight any girl. My parents had been going about for a spiritual solution to my problem before I raped this girl. That was the first girl I would ever rape.”

The court, however, shunned the defendant despite pleading guilty through his representative Olatunbosun Oladipupo and adjourned the hearing of the case till March 15, 2021.
