A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba, has linked the recently held EndSARS protest to the call for the creation of Biafra Republic.

In a series of post on his Twitter handle on Monday, the former presidential aspirant of the APC said the protest is a failed Biafra movement.

He stated that the EndSARS protest is supported by gullible people after allowing Biafrans to hijack the call for an end to police brutality.

Adamu Garba wrote, “#ENDSARs is now an officially failed Biafra movement supported by gullible ones. We know it. The original #endSARs is gone.”

He said the protests have been hijacked by haters of Nigeria whose mission is to hate everything except a movement to destroy Nigeria.

“Note that from now onwards, until the recommended deep filtering is done to critically separate #endSARs from Biafra, whatever you do for #endSARs you are knowingly or unknowingly advancing the movement of Biafra whose aim is to consume us all, not just the North. Mark this!” the APC chieftain added.

Recall that Garba had sued Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey for backing the EndSARS protests in Nigeria.

He sued the Twitter CEO demanding “a fine of $1bn dollars in favour of Federal Republic of Nigeria, as a compensation for loss of lives, properties and convenience” as a result of his “active support for funding of #EndSARS after the issues are being attended to by the government.”

Naija News reports that protesting youths in Nigeria had agitated for an end to police brutalization and extra judicial killings of Nigerians. The protesters had been on the streets protesting the brutalities, humiliation, and extortion of Nigerians, especially the youths.

The protesters demanded an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a police unit under the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department formerly headed by the Deputy Inspector General of Police Anthony Ogbizi, using a hashtag: #EndSARS.

On Sunday, October 11, 2020, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu disbanded SARS following a widespread protest from Nigerians worldwide.
