Obaseki Revokes Ize-Iyamu’s Ownership Of 18 Hectare Land

The former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has urged Governor Godwin Obaseki to break his silence on the insecurity rocking Edo State.

Naija News recalls that Edo State – known as the Heart Beat of the Nation – has been faced with major security challenges as with other parts of the country.

The state has seen a rise in the spate of kidnappings, robberies and cult-related killings.

Reacting in a statement by his Media Aide, John Mayaki, Ize-Iyamu berated the governor for remaining silent amid insecurity ravaging the state.

While urging the Edo governor to live up to his responsibilities, the former governorship candidate stated that Obaseki’s silence was no longer golden.

He said: “Last year, Obaseki was reported to have committed N2 billion to Edo Security Trust Fund, besides the traditional N700 million monthly security vote, which still subsists.

“Why not speak up concerning the incessant kidnappings? What about the cult-related killings and violent robberies, and invasion of markets?

“Why should Obaseki ignore the people who voted him? This omission is tantamount to a direct slap on the people who voted him and who are touched, one way or another, by the mindless kidnappings and killings.”

Pastor Ize-Iyamu stated that Edo State is on fire while bashing Obaseki for going to console a colleague over the loss of his mother.
