Gov Buni Makes Fresh Appointments In Yobe

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cautioned the National Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni, to stop sending “impostors and charlatans in his party” to insult PDP Governors and other patriotic leaders just to divert attention from the failures and problems of his party.

In a statement on Sunday by the spokesman for the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, the party called on Buni to design a more constructive way of containing the manifest failures of the APC government at the Federal and State levels, “instead of this jealous act of seeking to use nonentities to attempt to drag down PDP performing governors and other well-meaning Nigerians”.

The party said it’s indisputable that governors elected on the platform of the PDP have performed and are performing better, by all standards, than their counterparts in the APC. The party also made a comparison of life under a PDP-led government, saying “it is incontrovertible that life was better in our country under the PDP and that the purchasing power of Nigerians, in general, experienced its highest in our contemporary history under the PDP.

Meanwhile, in another Development,  The PDP Governors’ Forum has expressed its support for the party’s candidate in the Saturday Ondo State governorship election, Mr Eyitayo Jegede (SAN).

The Forum Chairman and Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal made the declaration in a statement issued by the Director-General of the forum, C.I.D. Maduabum in Abuja on Sunday.

Tambuwal said that the PDP governors were united, strong and primed to do its utmost to ensure the election of Jegede who has the experience, dynamism and programme of action to return Ondo State to her glory days.

He said that the forum’s attention was drawn to a story to the effect that there was a division among PDP governors with respect to Ondo gubernatorial elections.

The governor described the publication as tendentious, malicious, prejudicial, biased, procured, inciting, false and fake and planted by retrogressive and reactionary forces.
