Former United State President, Barack Obama, has wished his successor Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, a quick recovery from coronavirus (COVID-19).

Recall that Trump and his wife tested positive to the coronavirus infection as disclosed on Twitter by the US president himself.

He added that both of them have gone into quarantine.

“Tonight, the first lady and I tested positive for COVID-19,” tweeted the president of the world’s first power. “We will begin our quarantine and the recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER! “, he tweeted.

Trump was later taken to Walter Reed military hospital in Maryland, US.

He will remain at the hospital for some days where he would carry on with his official duties from a presidential wing in the hospital.

Reacting in a post on Twitter on Friday, Obama said he and his wife pray for a quick recovery for the President and his wife, Melanie Trump.

“Michelle and I hope that the President, First Lady, and all those affected by the deadly virus around the country are getting the care they need and are on the path to a quick recovery,” Obama wrote.

“It is obvious that we are in the midst of a big political battle right now, and while there’s a lot at stake let’s also remember that we are all Americans.

“We are all human and we want everyone to be healthy, no matter our party.”
