How Biafra, Oduduwa, Kwararafa Republics Will Be Actualized – Nnamdi Kanu

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has revealed that he is not giving up on the actualization of a sovereign Biafra republic.

The IPOB leader in a statement on Saturday, 26th September 2020, added that apart from Biafra, he is also looking forward to the actualization of an independent Oduduwa republic, Kwararafa republic (Middle Belt), and a return of the Kanem-Bornu empire.

According to him, all these can be achieved through synergy and sincerity of purpose from all stakeholders.

According to Kanu, “With synergy and sincerity of purpose, Biafra, Oduduwa, Kwararafa (Middle Belt) republics will become a reality in no distant time.

“Even the highly venerated Habe Monarchies of Hausa Kingdom will be returned in place of the present oppressive terror driven Fulani Emirates. The Hausa are ancient people and deserve a nation of their own.

“I also look forward to the return of a Kanem-Bornu Republic for Kanuri people as replacement for the once glorious and vibrant Karnem-Bornu Empire.

“Freedom for all oppressed people in Nigeria is what IPOB is all about.

He further called on Nigerians to join and support the October 1 sit-at-home order by IPOB.

“SitAtHome on October 1st or join Biafra-Oduduwa protests in the diaspora,” he declared.

Meanwhile, the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has pulled out of the sit-at-home order planned by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

It could be recalled that IPOB on Wednesday, September 23, in a statement issued by its spokesman, Emma Powerful, ordered that all Biafranlands should on October 1 which marked Nigerian Independence day shutdown their markets, schools and businesses as a mark of respect to all those who were killed as a result of terrorism in Nigeria.

However, MASSOB group leader, Uchenna Madu, in a statement on Thursday, September 24, declared that the group would not participate in the protest over various killings and injustice done to the people of South East in the past years.

MASSOB said though there is nothing worth celebrating in Nigeria at 60, the sit-at-home order will affect the planned protest against fuel and electricity price hike planned for the same October 1st.
