#EdoDecides: Chaos As APC Members Ask Electoral Officer To Step Down

Members of the All Progressive Congress party (APC) at  Emokpae Model Primary School, Oredo LGA In Edo State have asked  an electoral officer to  step down from conducting polls.

According to the report gathered, the electoral officer is a registered member of the major opposition party, the people’s democratic party (PDP).

Naija News understands that the chaotic scene kick started few minutes to the arrival of electoral materials at the Governor Godwin Obaseki’s polling unit.

However, in related development, Edo State residents in desperation to vote the candidate of their choice for the 2020 governorship election, has shunned the COVID-19 protocols as advised by the government and the electoral body in its recent publication.

A visit by reporters on Saturday morning (today), revealed that electorates are seen around polling units without keeping wearing their face masks and as well shunning the social distance order.

Meanwhile  Naija news reported that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been accused of plotting to financially induce voters and manipulate the outcome of the Edo State Governorship election.

The allegation was levelled by Olusegun Bamgbose, the National Coordinator, Concerned Advocates for Good Governance (CAGG).
