Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, a former Minister of State for Education, has accused a lawmaker representing Ughelli South State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Reuben Izeze, of murder and sponsoring thuggery.

Naija News reports that he made the accusation in an audio clip that has surfaced on social media.

Gbagi and Izeze were both members of the PDP and hail from the same community.

Gbagi claimed that he sent Izeze to the Delta House of Assembly not knowing he had “no character”, adding that the lawmaker once killed someone.

“The public and the general people of Delta and the world attention is drawn to the fact that, at no time, has Oginibo been in the news in a negative sense as it has been since Izeze decided to bite the hand that fed him,” he said.

“I sent Izeze to the House of Assembly unknowing that he was a man of no character; a drunkard, a drug addict as he’s now renowned to know.

“Recall that it’s the same Izeze that killed somebody in PTI. That case will be resuscitated appropriately.”

Speaking further, Gbagi claimed that Izeze alongside others killed a child and tried to associate him (Gbagi) with the murder.

The former governorship aspirant stated that God vindicated him, adding that as soon as he came back from a foreign trip, he got all the persons involved were arrested.

He accused the Attorney General of the state of “issuing” a no-case submission and getting the suspects released from prison.

Gbagi noted that the propaganda against him was not successful because he had given most children in Oginibo scholarship and added value to the town.

He said despite what the people of Oginibo had done for Izeze, he didn’t build a home in the town, accusing him of only “fomenting trouble” and “gathering Indian Hemp smokers” to smoke like “he does himself.”

He further accused the lawmaker of destroying the life of young boys.

The former Minister accused Izeze of “paying” a judge to secure a court injunction to stop media houses from publishing stories on the political thugs he was allegedly sponsoring.

He further described Izeze as a “controversial drug addict.”
