Naija News understands that Ganduje on Wednesday, September 2 had a closed-door meeting with Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to the governor while speaking with State House correspondents a few moments after the meeting, said he visited the Villa to brief the VP on modalities put in place to address security issues in Kano state.
He said, “Just to brief him about the security issues in Kano State, especially pertaining to kidnapping, banditry, armed robbery and other criminal activities in the zone.
“I submitted a report to him that it is all well; we are managing; there is high coordination of the security agencies in Kano; they are working very hard. The only problem we have is the Falgore Forest for which we are providing infrastructure for military training in order to prevent the bandits from colonising that particular environment.”

Ganduje noted that the VP was He added that Osinbajo was thrilled and encouraged with the development in Kano State. He further gave explanations on the N880 million recently distributed to the 44 councils in Kano state for the renovation of primary schools.
According to him, the major reason for the programme was to encourage community participation in the development of education in the state, adding that his administration had designed a package for direct labour, rehabilitation and renovation of schools.
Meanwhile, Principals and heads of public elementary schools have been directed to revert to the old names used before the reclassification under Rauf Aregbesola, a former governor of the state, in 2013.
