Bauchi Gov Appoints 9 New Aides, Including A Critic Writer

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has appointed nine more aides to his cabinet, including a critic of the previous government of the state.

The development was confirmed in a statement signed Secretary to the State Government, Mohammed Sabi’u Baba, Naija News understands.

Bala in the statement made available to newsmen on Friday, August 21 confirmed the appointment of Alhaji Musa Ahmad Azare, a writer and social critic who will now serve as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on project monitoring to the state governor.

The SSG noted that Azare’s appointments including others are with immediate effect.

Naija News understands that Azare who is known with finding faults and critics with the previous administration in the state over unpopular policies, will now be responsible for making findings and report to governor Mohammed the progress and quality of projects being executed by contractors and other government suppliers in the state.

The newly appointed aides are Isa Sade, SSA on Multilateral; Bala Sale Chiroma, SSA on Youth; Harsanu Yunusa Guyaba, SSA on Local Government Affairs and Khalid Barau Ningi, SSA on Empowerment.

Other appointees include Zakari Inuwa Labaran, SSA on Education/SUBEB; Habiba Umar Alkaleri, SSA Office of the First Lady; Adamu Abubakar Barde, SSA on Domestic and Ishaya Bukata, Special Assistant, Governor’s Office.

Reacting to the appointment, Alhaji Azare thanked Governor Mohammed for his counting him worthy of the position. He promised to give his maximum support to the government by ensuring the execution of viable projects for the development of the state.
