Obaseki Revokes Ize-Iyamu’s Ownership Of 18 Hectare Land

Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, in the Edo Governorship election.

The claim was made on Sunday by a body of politicians in Edo, the Obaseki-Shaibu Victory Movement (OSVM).

In a statement by its chairman, Chief John Obanor, the group stated that the people of Edo state were solidly behind Governor Obaseki.

“Governor Godwin Obaseki is as good as through to the governorship victory and will, therefore, continue at Osadebe House”, Obanor said.

According to OSVM, Obaseki has empowered women, provided an enabling environment for small scale business, shifted resources to local governments for infrastructure improvement, and others.

He said: “The good people of Edo State cannot be taken for a ride. They know that the candidacy of Obaseki is the right one and that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is the party that will win the September 19 governorship election.”

Naija News reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had fixed September 19 for the Gubernatorial election in Edo State.
