Magu Not Under Any Investigation, Facing Displicinary Action - Braimoh

Inspector-general of police, Mohammed Adamu has withdrawn 20 zonal and sectional heads officers attached to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The officers were asked to report to the force headquarters in Abuja,  where they are expected to be given new assignments.

NaijaNews understands that the action was taken to rid the EFCC of those suspected to have close ties to Ibrahim Magu, the suspended acting chairman.

The IGP gave the order shortly after that EFCC probe began.

Also, 12 directors at the commission have been suspended indefinitely,as well as the Commission’s secretary, Olanipekun Olukoyede.

Some of them had handled the investigation of corruption allegations against Abubakar Malami, the attorney-general of the federation and minister of justice, who is playing a key role in the EFCC probe.
