Benue State: Sunday Ongbabo Resigns As Commissioner For Health
The Benue State Commissioner for health and human services Sunday Ongbabo has resigned his position with immediate effect.
This was confirmed on Wednesday by the State Commissioner for information, culture, and tourism, Ngunan Addingi after the State executive council meeting.
She noted that Ongbabo resigned due to personal reasons.
Meanwhile, it will be recalled that the Secretary to the Benue State Government, Tony Ijohor, who previously tested positive for the Coronavirus disease has fully recovered.
The SSG in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday, July 24, expressed his gratitude to God for escaping the doom of the deadly COVID-19 disease.
The SSG who was reported positive with the novel virus in early July declared that he is now negative after a series of tests.
He said, “It is with praise and thanksgiving to God Almighty that I announce that after subsequent tests, NCDC has declared that I am COVID-19 negative.
“I return all glory to God Almighty for His mercy. I also appreciate my wife and my entire family for their support during the time I was in isolation.”
